You don't need a 200-tool spreadsheet. You need one solid pick per job — and the confidence to ignore the rest until you've shipped. Here's the starting stack we'd recommend, with the ★ one-degree-beyond option for when you're ready to level up.

Build

  • Web app: React + Vite for speed and control. No-code start: Lovable or Framer. ★ Add TypeScript early.
  • Back-end: Supabase (auth + Postgres in one). ★ Edge functions for serverless logic.
  • Hosting: Vercel or Netlify for front-ends. Keep your own domain from day one.

Design & brand

  • Design: Figma for everything visual. ★ A real design-token set (colours, type) for consistency.
  • Brand: Lock a palette, two fonts, and a logo early — then never improvise again.

Grow

  • Email: Brevo (GDPR-native, EU-friendly). Own your audience on your own domain, not a closed platform.
  • Analytics: Plausible or Umami (privacy-first) over heavy trackers. One north-star metric.
  • SEO: Own your content on your domain — an /insights or /journal section — not someone else's silo.

Run the business

  • Automation: Make or Zapier to connect the above. ★ Add AI steps for drafting and triage.
  • AI assistant: Claude for building, writing, and thinking one degree further.

How to choose: Pick the tool you'll actually finish a project in over the one with the best feature list. Boring and shipped beats clever and abandoned. You can always graduate later.

Audit your stack twice a year and cut anything you opened less than once a month. A lean stack is a fast team.
